Ms. Rozieyanahayu Abdul Rahman, Director of Operations (Tourism & Exchange cluster) of the ASEAN-Japan Centre, delivered a pre-recorded lecture at Sagamihara Campus of Aoyama Gakuin University.
The lecture was arranged with a request from Mr. Naohiro Fukawa (Director, INDIGO LLC), a part-time lecturer at the School of Global Studies and Collaboration of Aoyama Gakuin University. It was the second time for Ms. Rozieyanahayu to deliver a presentation following the previous year.
Through an interview with Mr. Fukawa, Ms. Rozieyanahayu talked about the roles of the ASEAN-Japan Centre, diversity and strength of the ASEAN Member States, how COVID-19 has changed travel and tourism, as well as how she considers the future of tourism. Additionally, videos which the Centre produced to introduce noodle dishes of the ASEAN Member States, were shown during the class to highlight gastronomy attractions of the Member States.
The class was attended by 14 students who registered for the “Tourism in Asia” class and major in global studies and collaboration.
